Signs of Heatstroke in Kittens and First-Aid Measures—Quickly Save This!

Cats with heatstroke will show these warning signs ⚠️
❗ Lethargy, lying motionless all the time
❗ Rapid, labored breathing, panting heavily
❗ Dry, red nose
❗ Uncontrollable drooling
❗ In severe cases: vomiting, convulsions, or even coma

If you find your furry friend has heatstroke, don’t panic ‼️ Follow these first-aid steps:

  1. Cool them down quickly
Immediately move them to a shaded area or an air-conditioned room (avoid direct AC blowing). Wipe their body with a room-temperature damp towel, and you can also wipe their paw pads with alcohol—it’s super effective for heat dissipation!
  2. Replenish water
Prepare clean, boiled and cooled water. If they can’t drink on their own, feed them slowly with a syringe—never force it!
  3. Monitor their temperature
Use a pet thermometer to check their rectal temperature. It’s safe only when it drops below the normal pet temperature of 39°C.

If they become comatose or go into shock, rush them to the hospital immediately!

Of course, daily prevention is crucial. Feeding your cat fresh food cans regularly to replenish moisture is a great idea~
With delicious broth + high-quality meat, your kitten will lap up the soup and gobble down the meat, “gulping” away heatstroke!
