Summer is here, and we must not take cat care lightly! This guide to summer cat care misunderstandings will help you avoid pitfalls easily~
🧊 Keep Ventilated: Don’t set the air conditioner temperature too low; around 26.7°C is appropriate, and the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor should not exceed 7°C. Ensure air circulation, remember to close the windows to prevent cats from getting heatstroke and taking the risk of jumping out of the window.
💧 Place Multiple Water Bowls: Frequently replenish water for cats, place water bowls in multiple locations so that they can drink wherever they go. Wash the bowls and change water regularly, appropriately lower the water temperature to avoid dehydration and heatstroke.
✂ No Need to Shave: Shaving doesn’t cool cats down; it also makes their skin prone to sunburn and insect bites. Proper trimming to thin the fur is enough. Don’t deprive cats of their “dignity,” as it may cause them to feel depressed.
🦟 Physical Mosquito Repellent: Most mosquito repellent products are toxic to cats. Prioritize using mosquito-repellent lamps and electric mosquito swatters, which are safe and environmentally friendly, to protect your cat’s health.
🍖 Keep Food Fresh: Food is prone to spoilage in summer. Discard leftover food, feed small amounts frequently, and wash food bowls regularly to prevent bacteria.
🚪 Try Not to Take Cats Outdoors: It’s extremely hot outdoors, and cats are prone to heatstroke and stress. Don’t keep them on the balcony or in the car to avoid danger.
Take care of cats scientifically and let your furry friends spend the summer refreshingly~
