Sniff… 😭 Woke up and my little “eggs” were gone! I was about to throw a fit, but then I saw you—my poop-scooper-in-chief—sitting right beside me. Your phone was still on, showing post-op care guides, and you looked more scared for me than I felt! After going through this big “cat life event,” I’ve got tons of neutering lessons to share.
Humans, listen close—this is what your kitty wants to tell you.
🌈 Before the Surgery: You Were Way More Nervous Than Me (It Was Kinda Cute)
The night before, you were up at 2 AM scrolling through guides—your phone screen was so bright, I couldn’t sleep! I heard you muttering, “No food 6 hours before, no water 4 hours before,” and “Must do blood work + biochemistry tests to check for hidden issues!” Early in the morning, you ran around checking if you’d packed everything, even tucking my little blanket into the carrier.
Secretly? Yeah, being hungry on the way to the hospital sucked a little. But when we got there, you looked so worried, patting me and saying, “Don’t be scared,” I forgave you right away.
🌈 After the Surgery: Being Spoiled by You Felt Like Pure Happiness
When the anesthesia wore off, all I wanted was to go home. But I heard the vet say, “Need to observe for 30 more minutes!”
I kept trying to lick my wound, but you’d already stuck that silly Elizabethan collar around my neck. (Okay, fine—it did stop me from messing up the stitches.)
To keep my wound from getting infected, you disinfected the house every day and opened the windows to air it out. You even separated me from Brother Purr-Grunt, just so he wouldn’t accidentally lick my incision.
One time, I stumbled off the couch because I was still wobbly, and you caught me so fast—like I was a fragile little treasure. That made the sore belly feel a tiny bit better.
🌈 Post-Neutering Diet: My Body Changed a Lot, But You Took It Step by Step
After the surgery, I had no appetite. My body felt weak, and the vet said my metabolism would slow down, making me prone to weight gain. 😢 It was tough—food didn’t taste good, and I felt sluggish.
But you didn’t give up. You switched me to a low-calorie, high-protein diet made for neutered cats, warming up the food a little so it smelled yummier. When I still turned my nose up, you hand-fed me small bites, talking to me softly like I was a kitten again.
You also started playing with me more—feather wands, laser pointers, even that crinkly ball I used to ignore. “Gotta keep you moving,” you’d say. At first, I was too tired, but seeing you 蹲在地上 (looking a little silly) waving the toy made me want to try. Slowly, my energy came back, and I even started begging for extra treats (you said “only one!” but snuck me two… don’t tell the vet).
A Little Extra from Your Kitty:
Yeah, the surgery sucked for a bit. The collar was annoying, and my belly ached. But watching you stress over my care, stay up late researching, and cheer when I finally ate a full meal? That made it all worth it.
I know you did it because you love me—wanting me to live longer, avoid those yowly heat cycles, and stay healthy. So thank you, human. For being my worried nurse, my cheerleader, and the reason I’m feeling like myself again.
P.S. Can we lose the collar now? My neck’s getting a little fluffy. 😉
